This picture was done with colored ink in 1999 during my second tour in Israel. I have tried to lighten the photo because the original is rather dark. I was in something of a dark mood at the time. Jeannie had been evacuated due to a threat of attack from Iraq. To make matters worse she called and told me that the daughter of a lady I went to High School with and who was one of my daughters closest friends was dead. At the time I had just started to work on this piece with no real idea of the final product. Several drinks later this is what came out. Three ghostly female figures, one holding a child, in the deep forest. Enlarge the picture for more detail.
