HELLO FROM PIINSON, AL

Hello again, did you miss me? Yea Right. Anyway I just wanted to let you know the reasons I haven't been too active on the Blog lately.

December has been a busy month. As you know Christmas will be here soon and that is always a hassle. The women all go nuts and the men are busy trying to stay out of the way and hiding. Most men I know, me included, think of Christmas as a costly pain in the ass. It is a time when we are busily trying to placate the women in our lives by being supportive in this yearly crisis of putting up the tree, buying presents, telling lies to the grandkids due to the ever present fear that they will find out what their gift might be, planning, buying for and cooking the necessary bazillion calorie Christmas meal, being present at the grand opening of presents on Christmas morning, cleanup of the ripped up discarded wrapping paper.

This ritual must be accepted with an appearance of joyful participation and love of the season or else you are lambasted by the wife and labeled a "Scrooge". I wonder if the Bible had not mentioned the three wise men having brought gifts, if December would be the commercial frenzy we know today. I don't know for sure but I have read that Jesus was actually born in March, so I am not sure how the so called celebration fell into December. But, I digress.

Otherwise I am researching/working on another Article and another painting. Also, lately my wife has had a minor problem with one of her eyes and is wearing a patch. I have been getting up and carrying her to work and pick her up on her work days. Between those items already mentioned I spend a lot of time with my E-mail and Face book. I have a lot of friends in low places so my joke file fills up faster than I can review, forward and delete them, I also am obligated to review a large amount of correspondence from people bitching about the Government, which,by the way, I too think sucks.

As you can see when the preceding is incorporated with my daily obligatory beauty nap I have a fairly busy schedule. Hopefully January will be a month more accommodating for Blog input.
